Friends

God said bad company corrupts good morals.

The devil whispered they have no effect on you.

God said that friends will comfort and sympathize with you in times of trouble.

The devil whispered they must be busy, besides these are your problems not theirs.

God said treat others the way you want them to treat you.

The devil whispered, what can they do for you?

God said choose your friends wisely or you will come to ruin.

The devil whispered they are popular, you don’t know what they can do for you.

God said you will become wise when you listen to good counsel, receive instruction and accept correction.

The devil whispered what do they know? You are right at all times.

God said a faithful witness tells the truth.

The devils whispered just because they lie about all their other friends does not mean he lie about you.

God said forgive as I have forgiven you.

The devil whispered how will they learn if they are not punished.

God said a true friend will guide you on right paths.

The devil whispered they are your friends, follow them blindly.

God said a true friend will pray for you.

The devil whispered they celebrate with you in good times, does it matter that they pray for you?

God said the devil is a liar and the father of lies.

The devil said nothing, for there is only truth in God’s presence.

  1. People are anxious about the past and they forget to live today. The truth is the past only exists in our minds and no amount of thinking will change anything.

When not anxious about the past, we spend our time worrying about the future. Like the past , the future is just in our minds.

To live a good life, we must live in the moment. Choose friends who will make today worthwhile. Engage in activities which make today like no other.

The devil wants you to worry about the past but Jesus paid it all and there is nothing there.

The devil wants you to ponder about the future but Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you.

Live today because today is all you have.

    1. True but even as God wants us to cast our burdens unto him and live in the present He advises us to be wise and surround ourselves with those that are wise. Sometimes we hold onto to people God himself is trying to remove from your life but until you align yourself with his word you will not see this. All you will see is loss when God is trying to give more.

At the end of the day God’s word is clear. We just have to accept that not everyone who comes into our lives are meant to stay, because they can’t go where God is taking you.
