Ever been startled by how much you miss? Not intentionally, but you would have to be nothing short of superhuman to not get overwhelmed from time to time. And just like the unhealthy food we often eat, we find ourselves weighed down by toxic thoughts and emotions that threaten to consume us.
You plan your day down to when you will go to bed, but after sleeping 8 hours, you wake up feeling as though you only slept for 2. Thoughts of deadlines and other countless stresses have you saying a silent, almost desperate prayer just to make it through the day. How much longer will you have to endure, you wonder. Will it always be like this? Suddenly even the joy of the weekend no longer holds the appeal it used to.
So here is to green tea, good music, and even better company. Take the time to read a book, watch a movie, listen to music or take a walk. Do anything to help you reset and detox from life’s toxins. Whether it is the whole day or 10 minutes, it all makes a difference. WHY? It is in those moments you find strength. It is in those moments you find hope. It is in those moments you dare to believe in something greater than yourself.
